Our original target for starting the Hog Centre has been met!!!!! Whooooooo!!!!! Please please keep donating to our work, the hogs coming in now are quite poorly and we are to and from the vets almost daily for more medication at the moment.
It’s been a very busy few weeks for the Team of Wirral Animal Sanctuary!
Myself and Jackson made a very special visit to a Cub Scout group in Oxton.
So I finally decided that enough is enough. A few months ago, I quit my job in social care, and started to pursue a career with animals. I volunteer one day a week at a Wildlife Park, where I work with farm animals, small mammals, reptiles, and exotics such as lemurs, skunks and raccoons. I love every minute of my time there, and wish I could spend every day with these beautiful animals. Lots of the animals in this park are rescued from people who took them on as pets, and only later realised the huge responsibility and that they actually could not cope. What a week!
On Monday, I spent 8 hours at the Wildlife park, stressing about the meeting I had planned later that night.
